Must be a graduate of high school in Walla Walla or Columbia County.<br \/>2. Student teach\/internship between September 2025 and June 2026.<br \/>3. Must submit scholarship application <strong>March 10, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Scholarship application:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><br \/>An on-line application is available on the <strong>Blue Mountain Community Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.bluemountainfoundation.org\/scholarships\/scholarship-information\/<\/p>\n<p>Scholarships are available through the <strong>Washington school Retirees Association<\/strong>. Visit this link for more info.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/wssra.org\/index.php\/foundation\/scholarships<\/p>\n<p>Washington State School Retirees Association is offering 2 scholarships for students who graduated from any Washington State high school preparing to do their student teaching\/internship during the 2025-2026 school year.\u00a0 They are the <strong>Neil D. Prescott Student Teaching\/Internship Scholarships<\/strong> for $2500 each<\/p>\n<p>The Washington State School Retirees is also offering scholarships to high school seniors from Washington State high schools who are planning to major in education.\u00a0 The scholarships available are the <strong>Robert J Handy Scholarship<\/strong> ($900.00 a year for four year) and the <strong>WSSRA Foundation Scholarships<\/strong> (one for $3000.00 and the other for $2000.00.\u00a0 Each are a one-time scholarship).<\/p>\n<p>Another scholarship available from WSSRA is the <strong>Gene Forrester<\/strong> <strong>Memorial Scholarship<\/strong>.\u00a0 This scholarship is for students who will major in agricultural Education at Washington State University.<\/p>\n<p>WSSRA Scholarships due:<\/p>\n<p>Robert J. In the fall and in the spring active members in the outlying school districts of Dayton, Dixie, Columbia Burbank, Prescott, Touchet and Waitsburg and in the city districts of College Place and Walla Walla are invited to submit project applications for the Mini-Grant drawings. Projects are intended to benefit students in a variety of ways (books for classrooms, special field trips, funds for sport activities, etc). Eight names from each of the two districts (outlying district and city district) are drawn at the retired member luncheons in November and again, in February. The recipients are presented with a check for $250.
