2026 WSSRA\/TCSRA Legislative Priorities<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

\u2022<\/span> Restore an automatic ongoing cost of living adjustment for TRS 1 and PERS 1<\/strong><\/span>
retirees. <\/span><\/strong>Pass Substitute Senate Bill 5085.<\/span><\/em>
\u2022<\/span> Protect the $183 Medicare Eligible Healthcare Subsidy. <\/span><\/strong>Make sure funding remains in the budget to reduce costs for retirees who get <\/span>health insurance through the Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB).
<\/span><\/em>\u2022<\/span> Fully fund pensions.<\/strong> <\/span>Maintain actuarially recommended employer contributions to make sure we<\/span><\/em>
have among the healthiest retirement systems in the country.<\/span><\/em>
\u2022<\/span> Improve health and pension benefits for members of Plans 2 and 3.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Click on the \u201cLegislators\u201d tab near the top of the page and then on “District Finder.” Enter your address as shown in the sample, click on “Find My District,” and a list of your legislators will pop up. Click on the names to find addresses and phone numbers. If you know your district number, you can just click on the “Legislators” tab in the black bar under the photo of the Capitol and then on “Find Legislator.” Use the drop down menu to choose your district and click on “Apply.” Photos of your legislators will pop up. Click on the names to find addresses and phone numbers. Finally, you can call your legislators using the in-state toll-free hotline number, 1-800-562-6000<\/u><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, please sign up for legislative alerts from www.wssra.org<\/u><\/strong><\/a>. Go to the site, scroll to the bottom of the homepage, fill out and submit the “JOIN OUR MAILING LIST” form, and follow the directions to complete.
